Jonathan Swift was an Irish poet and satirist of the eighteenth century. Although the son of Englishmen, Swift was born and raised in Ireland. While living in Ireland, he witnessed the death of thousands of Irish due to starvation which was caused due to crop failure. Swift, who wasn’t even personally affected by the issue, acknowledged that the death of the Irish population which he argues was caused because of the neglect of English landowners. Instead of allowing for the issue to continue to be avoided, he addressed the issue. In 1729, Swift released a very popular narrative known as A Modest Proposal. However, babies could become a useful member of society if they were to be sold to the meat market. As mentioned w ithin the text, â€Å"a young healthy Child well Nursed is at a year Old, a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome Food†. Young children of society would no longer be a burden but a solution to end starvation within the communities. This proposal continues on by advocating that selling children to the meat market will beneficial to all involved. By selling their children into the meat market, parents will be able to have extra cash in their pocket. This will ultimately lead to families being better able to support their families. There as well would be a surplus of food for the dying Irish population. There will be much more meat product available for this starving population. This solution would end brutal abortions and the murder of â€Å"bastard children† by their parents. This would allow for less lives of children being abruptly ended without good reasoning. Non Verbal Communication in Shopping Malls Essay Example

Non Verbal Communication in Shopping Malls Paper Nonverbal communication is the process of communication through sending and receiving wordless (mostly visual) cues between people. Messages can be communicated through gestures and touch, body language or posture, physical distance, facial expression and eye contact, which are all types of nonverbal communication. Speech contains nonverbal elements known as paralanguage, including voice quality, rate, pitch, volume, and speaking style, as well as prosodic features such as rhythm, intonation, and stress.Likewise, written texts have nonverbal elements such as handwriting style, spatial arrangement of words, or the physical layout of a page. However, much of the study of nonverbal communication has focused on face-to-face interaction, where it can be classified into three principal areas: environmental conditions where communication takes place, physical characteristics of the communicators, and behaviours of communicators during interaction. Importance:- Nonverbal communication is the process of communication through sending and receiving wordless (mostly visual) cues between people. It is one of the most important methods of communication in shopping malls as it needs to be communicated to a large number of people. When the other person or group is absorbing the message they are focused on the entire environment around them, meaning the other person uses all five senses in the interaction: 83% sight, 11% hearing, 3% smell, 2% touch and 1% taste. Nonverbal communication strengthens a first impression in common situations like attracting a partner or in a business interview: impressions are on average formed within the first four seconds of contact.First encounters or interactions with another person strongly affect a persons perception. The advantages of non-verbal communication are: 1) You can communicate with someone who is hard of hearing of deaf. 2) You can communicate at place where you are supposed to maintain silence. 3) You can communicate something which you dont want others to hear or listen to. 4) You can communicate if you are far away from a person. The person can see but not hear you. 5) Non-verbal communication makes conversation short and brief. 6) You can save on time and use it as a tool to communicate with people who dont understand your language. The disadvantages of non-verbal communication are: 1) You cannot have long conversation. 2) Cannot discuss the particulars of your message 3) Difficult to understand and requires a lot of repetitions. 4) Cannot be used as a public tool for communication. 6) Less influential and cannot be used everywhere. 7) Not everybody prefers to communicate through non-verbal communication. 8) Cannot create an impression upon people/listeners. In short Non-Verbal Communication needs to be concise and clear to make sure the message is communicated and understood by the receiver. Types of Non-Verbal Communication:-There are 2 main types of Non-Verbal Communication which are:- 1. Sign Language- S ign language (also signed language or simply signing) is a language which, instead of acoustically conveyed sound patterns, uses manual communication and body language to convey meaning. It can be further divided into †¢Visual Signs †¢Audio Signs 2. Body Language- Body language refers to forms of non-verbal communication, wherein a person reveals clues as to some unspoken intention or feeling through their physical behaviour. Majority of Non-Verbal communication found in shopping malls are sign language. Visual signs in shopping malls:-This is main type of non-verbal communication in shopping malls. Rise of the American Political Parties essays

Rise of the American Political Parties essays There have always been irrational views of our nation from the people. Some believed if you desire a strong federal government, youll need to address the key factors; ease any national problems, establish a plan to activate industrialization and infrastructure, and develop a commercial economy which would help strengthen the government and its power. These factors were believed to be the sole of the problem, which led to relentless disagreements among Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. Both were members of Washingtons Presidential Cabinet, and soon after working together, these two men went separate ways because of their disagreements. They both soon gained national attention and support from publicly addressing their different views about the issues or concerns within our nation. Another issue that arose in the conflict was the refusal of Washington coming to Frances aid during the French Revolution and how did this affect his goal of national attention and support when public izing his Farewell Address? These were a few of the many actions that created tensions over disagreements that soon led to the dividing of the parties in our country. The growth of political parties had arisen in the early American Republic because of antagonistic views on the arrangement of a national government and its power, plus the arrangement of national policies under our new nation. The views between political successors were diverse when addressing their intentions to try to make our nation better. Tension between common people soon arose too, which was inspired by the conflict that started between prominent leaders over opposing views on issues within the nation. In Documents 1, 2, s views on Hamilton and Hamiltons views on Jefferson, and also the key differences between the Democratic-Republicans and the Federalists. Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton briefly address their views for...

The Importance of a Communication Strategy to the HR Practitioner Essay

The Importance of a Communication Strategy to the HR Practitioner Planning And Manging Organisational Change - Essay Example Human Resource Development professionals play a central role in the accomplishment of organisational culture change. This is reflected in the five steps to cultural change suggested by Ulrich (1997). These include defining and clarifying the concept of culture change; articulation of the reasons for culture change being central to business success; defining a process for assessing the current culture, the desired future culture, and the gap between the two; identifying alternative approaches to creating culture change; and building an action plan that combines several approaches to organisational culture change. The critical success factors necessary for building an action plan for implementing culture change consist of the following measures: leading change by the organisation first identifying a sponsor for the culture change effort, creating a shared need among the employees by explaining the requirement for organisational change, shaping a vision by communicating the desired outc omes of the culture change, mobilizing commitment by identifying key stakeholders to support the desired culture change, transforming organisational systems and frameworks, monitoring progress, and making the change last through reinforcement techniques (Ulrich, 1997). Beer and Nohria (2000) argue that the two opposing theories of organisational change are Theory E based on the creation of economic value and Theory O pertaining to the building of organisational capabilities for the long term. The two theories strengths and weaknesses are related to every dimension of the change process, including motivation, leadership, and compensation issues. The...This paper has critically reviewed the transforming of organisational culture, and the importance of communication strategies in the management of organisational change and culture by human resource development personnel. Several relevant models and theories were examined. Theory E of economic value and theory O pertaining to the buildi ng of organisational capabilities for the long term were found to be best utilized in an integrated form. The Social Identity Theory believes that individuals develop an identity within their organisation, which is comparable in its characteristics and influence to identification with other social groups. The Communication Accommodation theory developed to clarify the relationship between identity, context and communicative behaviour, helps to explain organisational communication within and between groups in the firm. Lewin’s model related to unfreezing, moving, and refreezing, as three steps in organisational change was found to be an effective technique which continues to be popular. Cameron and Quinn’s theory of Competing Values Framework states that the best way to communicate the future organisational culture is by the change leaders explaining illustrative cases to employees of the organisation. This article makes a conclusion that a strong conceptual and empirical understanding of organisational change was based on two communication theories: Programmatic and Participatory.

Family Law - Final Proposal Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2250 words

Family Law - Final Proposal - Essay Example Recently, the Family Law Act, 1996 is a plus to this development of personal law in Britain, particularly in the field of divorce. The Family Law Act, 1996 enacted in Britain with a view to give effect in matters relating to divorce represents some issues that deserve proper explanation. So, reasonably, in this regard the issues to be explained may be stated in this study: The Purpose of the present study is mainly centred on some specific issues. The Researcher intends to make a thorough study over the deficiencies reflected in the present law of divorce; divorce law reforms attempted in the Family Law Act, 1996. By this effort, the Researcher aims at exploring the defects posed in the present divorce legislation. Consequently, the Researcher would be very much capable to keenly single out the impediments in effectively implementing the divorce law of England. Pertinently, the Researcher would be able to recommend some eclectic and viable suggestions and guidelines that would ensure a paradigm-breaking change in the current divorce legislation in England. As a result, it would make the avenue in introducing a new divorce regime in England that is very much fit to adjust with the changing circumstances in 21st century in England. With the emergence of urbanization and process of development human life has become complex. People are being riddled with multifarious complicacies. For this, social disorganization has been the common phenomenon that is severely causing the normal upgrowing of balanced human conduct. As our interest is mainly attributed to divorce legislation, proper clarification i.e. specifying and defining the terms Divorce and Divorce Proceedings is essential. Divorce means dissolving the marital relationship. So, divorce proceeding imply the proceeding that is undertaken with a view to dissolve the marital relationship or end the conjugal ties. The growth in lone parent families, the prevalence of divorce and remarriage, and alternative ways of managing intimate relationships (such as cohabitation and 'living apart together') have eroded the normative purchase of marriage and the nuclear family (Dey & Wasoff, 2006). It is needless to say that the consequences of family break-down are jeopardizing the social cohesion. Frustration and social disorder are causing serious effects on the human conduct and social regulation. In fact, the development of divorce law is a continuous effort since 1857. As an inseparable part of this undertaking, the relevant enactments are the Marriage Act, 1949 and the Matrimonial Causes Act, 1973 are of special mention. Recently, the enactment of the Family Law Act, 1996 is the way of root to this development. The provisions as set out in those statutes put emphasis on preserving the interests of both parties so that none can be affected. It also stresses on mediation, welfare of the children, provisions escaping the financial hardship of either parties. Though the recent enactment the Family Law Act, 1996 is considered as a significant enactment, it lacks certain shortcomings. As a result, the divorce reform attempts introduced in the said enactments has been proved fu tile and unfructuous that has been rigorously produced in our study. 4. CRITICAL ANALYSIS The Family Law Act,

Poes Fall of The House of Usher Essay: Biographical Contexts

Biographical Contexts For The Fall of the House of Usher In the summer of 1838, Edgar Allan Poe left the city of New York, where he faced criticism and minimal recognition, and moved to Philadelphia, where he would soon gain profound success (Quinn 268). Just a year prior to this move, Poe married his cousin, Virginia Clemm, who accompanied him to Philadelphia (Wagenknecht 18). Little is known of Poe's time in New York other than the fact that he faced severe poverty with total earnings amounting to under one hundred fifty dollars (Peeples 31). Therefore, since Philadelphia shared the prestige with New York as a publishing center, it offered Poe new publishing opportunities and opened the doors to success (Quinn 268). He found this success editing Burton's Gentleman's Magazine from 1839-1840 and then Graham's Magazine from 1841-1842 (Peeples 74). During this time, Poe delivered lectures on American poetry, published thirty-six tales including "William Wilson," "The Masque of the Red Death," and "The Murders in the Rue Morgue," and also rel eased a collection of stories in 1840 entitled Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque (Peoples 74). It was during this peak of Poe's publishing career that he published "The Fall of the House of Usher." This tale relates to various aspects of Poe's life including his occupation as an editor, his battle with alcohol and drugs, his psychological and emotional well-being, and the impact of death on his life and work. Although Poe found success while working for Burton and Graham, he did not find contentment, for neither Burton's magazine nor Graham's met Poe's expectations of his ideal publication. Poe was frustrated with his career and aspired to edit a magazine of his own, a magazine of ... ...mes of his publishing career, yet Poe faced many obstacles in his private life during this time including poverty and alcohol abuse. Although his alleged alcohol and drug addictions are issues yet to be settled, they were clearly an influence in his life and work. In addition to his habits regarding alcohol and drugs, his psychological stability has also been called into question. The impact of death, which was prevalent throughout his life, was tremendous. Regardless of the many struggles Poe encounter, he has emerged as one the greatest Romantic writers in American history. Â  Works Cited Peeples, Scott. Edgar Allan Poe Revisited. What is Censorship?

I will discuss whether or not censorship is a good or bad thing and what affect it has on the people and whether this influence is helpful to society. The media needs censorship because discretion in viewers or censorship is necessary; it reduces the risk of exposing children of easily influenced ages to adult content as well as inappropriate content that should not be exposed to all. Media exposure is a powerful factor in influencing the values and opinions of children; for this reason, the need to control all that they see and hear from the media. An example of this are rap songs, which usually contain swear words, say if a young child was in the room and heard this and then began to repeat the word, this is why some word in songs are censored. On the other hand there are cons to censorship. It compromises freedom of speech. Also not censoring can be a good thing as shock tactics are the best way to help children/teenagers to stay safe, for instance if a teenager saw a picture of a girl dead from a drug overdose it would help them to see that it is dangerous making sure that they stay away from it. Everyone should be able to choose whether censoring is better or not, seeing things like the example above will help children to think twice leading them to make the right choices rather than being reckless and irresponsible with their decisions. In conclusion I believe that censorship is good because it protects the privacy of the people. We should all have a choice, some may rather prefer content be censored like if they live in a family environment with children around. Whereas others would choose not censoring for example if they live on their own and are an adult, listening to swear words would not cause any harm or have any impact as most likely they already know these certain words.

Rhetorical Analysis Of Taylor Swift - 1141 Words

Taylor Swift Taylor Swift really knows how to have hidden messages and secrets throughout her lyrics and music videos. Taylor Swift also likes to trash talk other celebrities including Kim Kardashian and Katy Perry. Which gives a viewer a good chance to critic her lyrics and videos. In Taylor Swift’s music video, the very first 20 seconds, she was â€Å"reborn† this relates to how she hadn’t made any music for a couple years. Again, in the beginning of this music video she starts by climbing out of a grave in a graveyard which is her being reborn or climbing bakc out from the dead. This could also be saying that she was â€Å"reborn† as a person, just like on New Years when people say ‘new year, new me.’ Additionally, Taylor references a lot to her†¦show more content†¦Additionally, Taylor references to her reputation a bunch in the music video. Showing how badly she is trying to change her reputation, whether for better or for worse, no one is quite s ure yet. Along with Taylor Swift saying this will be a new her, she is also referencing multiple other celebrities throughout the music video. Some say that when she is lying in a bathtub full of diamond jewelry she is making fun of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West when they had been robbed. Kim and Kanye were robbed in Paris while being at gunpoint. She also referenced Katy Perry multiple times. Including, when she crashed her car into a light post and had the exact same hair and an outfit style as Katy Perry would have. Which is Taylor is making fun of Katy saying that she is a drama queen and needs the attention of the paparazzi. She also references Katy by showing her walking a cheetah on a leash and Katy Perry is known for cheetah print and exotic things. Careers and Career Management Critical Thinking

To the extent that we all need to brand ourselves as part of a career strategy, how do you plan to solve the branding and differentiation problem? In order to take the most rational steps on one’s career ladder, some preparation should be made. Undoubtedly, Alan A. Andolsen in his article ‘Six Steps to Your Succesful Career Path’ provides readers with very useful pieces of advice which are most likely to lead a person to success when choosing a career. I personally absolutely agree with the fact that the only true way to great heights may be found after the appropriate self-assessment and defining your place in desirable career hierarchy.   What is more, networking may serve one a perfect tool for differentiation of the most coveted job as well as opportunities to gain it. As for me, first I am planning to research the career chosen inside out and then decide whether it suits me perfectly. If yes, I will do my best to compose an exhaustive resume and cover letter which might be a great advertisement of a person. My next step will be having an interview where I can prove everything I have written in CV and introduce myself in the best manner. For me it is like the market, where at first you advertise a product and then try to sell it for the highest price, assuring the customer in its quality.

Teaching Philosophy as Education and Evaluation of...

ABSTRACT: Teaching philosophy and critical thinking is one of the main ways to clearly reaffirm the value of human persons and of goodness and freedom. It is not sufficient to propose a philosophical message, but we must teach it systematically (curriculum) with a real synergy between teachers and parents. We must also build a curriculum, which includes an evaluation model based on clear goals and objectives: the intermediate and final evaluation and assessment will enable us to be sure that we have reached our aim. It is also necessary to verify every step, evaluate it and compare it to the criteria (general project, goals, objectives) we put in our mind and use in our teaching. This critical evaluation needs methods and some teaching†¦show more content†¦A problem arises about the teacher, whose duty would be to propose and not to impose his ideas: truth, freedom and human person could be at risk, particularly in developing situations. Sexual Orientation in Contemporary Advertising an Example of the Topic Psychology Essays by

Sexual Orientation in Contemporary Advertising Most people in the society rely on advertisements to get information about the products that are being sold in the market. Through advertisements, the society is able to develop ideas about the nature of a certain product, its usage, and its durability. In other words, advertising sells the product even before it reaches the retail stores. In order to make sales, the marketers create special concepts and use different approaches to make a strong recall on the minds of the target market. These creative concepts are needed to make the public aware of the uniqueness of that certain product among its competitors. Apparently, mass media has been very influential not only in selling any product to the viewers; its effective approach to the public has been proven in making the people bite all the information and messages that are being conveyed by either the marketer or the advertiser. The concepts that are being associated with the product are adapted by the society making them as part of the medias constructed reality. While some advertisements show reality, the others tend to sensationalize the ideas and exaggerate the information to make the public easily recall the products that are being endorsed. The constructed reality in media has been viewed as the reality in the society. In other words, the public easily conform to the ideas that advertising present to the audience. From television to billboards, advertising plays an important part in the gaining success of the marketers and fulfilling the needs of the customers. However, the advertisements tend to sell not only the product in the store shelves but also the concepts that are used to promote the products to the market. In this manner, the society often feels the conflicts of knowing the reality and seeing the new society that is being constructed by these advertisements. Sexual orientation is needed in th e society where everyone conforms to the images and information that are being given either by the people around them or the media itself. Apparently, the stereotypes that sexual orientation gets from media information depict not only the reality but oftentimes the exact opposite of it. The worst problems that society often encounters are the acceptance of the people themselves and the effortless transmission of media of any message to the public. The Society and the Contemporary Advertising A product will never be salable in the market if the marketers will not create a concept that would leave a mark to the market. In order to make the product enter on its growth stage, strategic techniques are needed to assure its marketability. The value of the economic role of advertising has been questioned because the dominance of this role can lead to a society where the purpose of advertising is to promote consumption as a way of life. Of course, we all have to purchase certain goods and services to live our lives. However, other goods fall more into "want" category than the "need" category. Advertisements for the "want" categories of goods have questioned since they make people yearn for things they do not need to live their lives (Sheehan, 19). This is the reason why the marketers develop concepts that would easily be remembered by the customers once they enter in the retail store or supermarket. Without the persuasive appeal and creative concepts, the company may need to let the product go to its decline stage. Oftentimes, the advertisers also use its influential demand to make the public buy the product despite its level of necessity. This plain consumerism and influential demand are parts of the contemporary advertising. The product, in order to create a remarkable entrance to the market, should have a unique appearance and strong demand from the customers. Due to the extreme competition in the market, the advertisers use concepts that may be a taboo in the society or too sensationalize to make a strong impact to the target market. Homosexuality on Advertisements A brand of pain relieving drug shows an image of two bare-chested men lying on the bed. Only the lower part of the bodies are shown covered with white blanket and the words written on the white portion of the poster ad were a simple conversation but imply a subliminal message. Although the poster ad may be perceived as clear with direct ideas of homosexuality, the subliminal messages on the advertisements are evident (Current, n.d.)This is just one of many advertisements portraying homosexuality that have already been released in the society. Some advertisements directly imply the sexual identity of the endorsers and some even directly portray the messages that the advertisers would like to be associated with the product. Homosexuality has become part of the efforts of the advertisers in reaching the consumer market thus the mainstream slowly become oriented of the existence of the third sex in the society. From food to wine products, the homosexuals have been used to endorse the selected items to the public. Surprisingly, the society buys the product regardless of its concepts of promotion in the market. Before, the images were used only for print advertisements; however, these images have also reached the televisions targeting the gay and lesbians consumers of either new or mature products in the marketplace. The celebrities that have been known to be homosexuals and same sex couples are used to advertise the products to the mainstream (Elliot, 1997). The masculine image of women and the effeminate figure of men have made people change their perceptions toward homosexuals. Through these advertisements, the mainstream has conformed to the messages that are being portrayed by the mass media. Even though most advertisements, especially on television, do not directly promote homosexuality, the persuasive appeals of every ad containing these kinds of subliminal messages have brought the so ciety to a higher level of awareness about the gender issue. The idea that gays and lesbians are part of consumer markets; advertisers have not failed to disregard these clusters in promoting the products that are being sold to the public. In fact, some manufacturers even developed products intentionally for them. Some endorsers even go beyond cross dressing making the society lead to astonishment to acceptance. Although there have been many criticisms regarding homosexual advertisements, the marketers still view these clusters as potential consumers of the product; thus, the companies selling a particular good or service to the market still made promotion using homosexuals and subliminal messages despite the controversies in the society (William, et al. 2004). Impact of Medias Depiction of Sexual Orientation Apparently, the acceptance of the society in homosexuality can be considered as one of the main impacts of depiction of media. In an interview for the American Communication Journal, the gays and lesbians have freely expressed their opinions about the effects of media depiction of homosexuality to them. They all agreed that todays portrayals are much better than the images of the past, but they are far from perfect. The adults had the same mixed feelings as the teens had about Queer as Folk and Will and Grace. They said they specifically could not relate to the negative stereotypical behavior seen in Queer as Folk, including having a lot of sex, clubbing all the time and doing drugs. However, in terms of gay and lesbian visibility, they felt that 21st century television has more images of gays and lesbians to choose from than what they had as teenagers in the 70s and 80s. Yet they are still not positive representations (Evans, 2007). The images of gays and lesbians have become increasingly accepted in todays society. It has gone to many stages before the mainstream have finally accepted the idea of homosexuality that have been long considered as taboo in the society. Now, the media sources including television, newspapers, magazines, and even billboard advertisements are full of gays and lesbians images. Even though the homosexuals are not represented based on reality, media portrayal has undeniably played a very important role in making these clusters accepted in this modern society. Gays and lesbians are still being treated as different individuals but the images that the public have been seeing on advertisements and television programs have somehow changed the attitude of the people toward them. The growing number of homosexuals manifests the recognition of the mainstream to the group of people who had been hiding in the dark to avoid judgment and criticisms. Now, the prominent persons that have been successful in different fields are undeniably part of gay or lesbian society. They are known for their creativity and skills in managing business, leading a fashion trend, and having the successful lives that the public had never imagined possible due to endless prejudices against them. Today, the world has been aware of the changes that the societal factors bring to every individual which often make up the society. Aside from technology, other elements that have been present in the society finally gone to a lot of transformation in order to conform to these inevitable changes. The taboo in the society became accepted and the seemingly endless criticisms have finally rested. Apparently, media portrayal of homosexuality has a lot of negative effects to the next generation but the impact that it gave to the society now brought peace and clarity to the stereotypes that have thrown against the homosexuals. Advertising may be effective in selling products to the customers; however it is always the best tool of changing the perceptions of the public toward a certain thing. Through advertising, homosexuality has become accepted but the effects of this acceptance may bring another conflict in this post modern world. References Current. (n.d.). Human Desire To Fit In Essays - Human Behavior, Belief, Autonomy

Human Desire to Fit In Two common ways of handling a situation are either to do so according to one?s own personal needs and desires with no specific regard to other people, or one can base a decision on how it will be viewed by others. The vast majority of people fall on the side of being worried about what others are saying and thinking. Both good and bad can come from living this way, but it has seemed to remain constant throughout history. People have a natural desire to belong, and to fit in with a certain group. No matter what group an individual chooses, that individual almost always is forced sacrifice a part of them self in order to seem more a part of things. People in this world seem to need companionship and are often too weak to stand alone. As a result, they stand together in what ever group they are best suited to. It is a point of interest to many of the people who have stopped to think about this fact. The idea that people live according to how others will perceive then has been established as the rule, not the exception. The real question now lies in the reasons for this way of life. It was hypothesized by C.S. Lewis that this desire to belong and to fit in is a natural human characteristic. He believed that people have an instinctive drive to belong, in the same sort of way species reproduce. It is possible that his theory of instinctive necessity is accurate, and humans are as a whole are week and scared when they are faced with solitude. The old adage ?there is safety in numbers? is appropriate in this topic. Often in this world terrible things happen because people group up and commit unspeakable acts, then take shelter in the numbers of those involved. The Annual Freaknik ?celebration? is the perfect example. Thousands of individuals crowd the streets of Atlanta and pillage the city for a weekend, all the while they show no respect for the laws or the residents of the city. This can be directly related to the issue of people doing things to be a part of the group. If these people were asked individually why they did these terrible things, for the most part they would respond by saying ?everyone else is doing it. This could be translated to ?I am just trying to be a part of things?. In this particular example those involved sacrifice any sense of morals or upbringing that they might have had. ?Everybody is doing it?. This sentence has ruined thousands of lives. It could could be the worst four word combination in the English language. People have been convinced to begin drug use, drunk driving, cliff jumping, and countless other unwise activities. The reason behind this is clear, the human necessity to fit in and to seem cool is often to strong to compete with. A person could have the world and all of its riches, but with out someone to share it with, that person would be totally alone. People need each other. This is a fact of the world, and it will never change. This need is a natural desire that is found every where in every person with very few exceptions. It is true that trouble can brew and awful things can happen because of these groups, but the advantages associated far out weigh the costs. These groups that people form between themselves often serve as shelter for the lonely, for this reason it is natural for people to go far out their way if necessary to belong a particular crowd. As a result the opinion of others is crucial part of life. and fuck you you are a bunch of profiteering whores and should be bludgoned to death with a wet noodle! thank you and go to hell....pigfucker!!!
